The Captain Cook Brewery badge - old and new, side by side

Hello Emily. Before anything goes near the new website, here is the brewery badge as it stands today, next to the redrawn version, so you can judge them together.

The copy of the original badge we have is a small photograph, about the size of a postage stamp on a modern screen. It has served the brewery well, but the moment it is enlarged for a website header, a social profile or print, it goes soft and fuzzy.

So we have redrawn the badge from scratch, keeping everything that makes it yours - Cook's portrait, the navy and gold, the ribbon - and rebuilding it so it stays pin-sharp at any size, from a phone screen to a pub sign.

Original

Enlarging the small photograph is what causes the softness you can see here.

Redrawn

The new master, same size for a fair comparison

Redrawn from scratch. Stays this sharp at any size, screen or print.

Original on navy

As it would sit on the new website's header
The photograph's pale background comes with it onto the navy.

Clean edges, no box - it sits straight on the navy.
It is your badge and your call. If you are happy, say the word and this becomes the master for the website, social pages and print. If anything looks off - the lettering, the portrait, the ribbon - tell us and we will adjust it before it goes anywhere.
